BlackJack Knives Model 16 Stacked Leather Single Quillion w/ Brown sheath

The Jet Pilot Survival Knife has changed a bit since it’s beginnings in the 1950s. It was first designed directly with the Army Air Corp (later named the U.S. Air Force) by Marble Arms in Michigan. The original Hex Shaped Pommel was specifically made for a fitting on a now long gone Inflatable Rescue Raft. The retention of that old hex pommel was more for tradition and any practical purpose. The original Teeth were made as teeth, not as a saw. The teeth were to catch in the thin hull of a plane or chopper so that the pilot or crew could actually tear an escape hole to gain egress from the downed craft.
