Kershaw “Original” Golden Eagle Bayonet Dagger

Made by Kershaw comes this “”Original” Golden Eagle Bayonet Dagger. The bayonet dagger was designed as a ceremonial weapon for the German military until 1930 when the government confiscated the dies, equipment, and even the drawings. The tooling was later discovered in 1988, when it became available for Kershaw Knives for their 5,000 knives. This knife is not a reproduction but a re-creation of the original work, once again hand forged in Solingen, Germany. The blade is full tang and mirror polished before the “Golden Eagle” writing was engraved and gold filled. The eagle’s head and guard are cast from bronze in a single piece and then fitted with black micarta scales. This knife has not been used or sharpened and comes in a wooden shadow box with original paperwork. There is a small area on the presentation side of the guard that has a bit of tarnish but otherwise this knife is in excellent condition. Stamped into the presentation side ricasso reads “Kershaw Solingen-Germany Rostfrei” while the reverse side reads “1209” as the serial number.
